| 2. * | الذي خلق فسوى | alXy Klq fswi | Who created, so He straightened. | Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; | |||
| 3. * | والذي قدر فهدى | walXy qdr fhdi | And who predestined/evaluated, so He guided. | Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; | |||
| 4. * | والذي اخرج المرعى | walXy aKrj almr`i | And who brought out/made (to) emerge the pasture. | And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, | |||
| 5. * | فجعله غثاء احوى | fj`lh Gxa' aHwi | So He made/created it rotten/spoiled (thin and dry) green/red with blackness. | And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. | |||
| 6. * | سنقرئك فلا تنسى | snqrYk fla tnsi | We will make you read, so do not forget. | By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, | |||
| 7. * | الا ماشاء الله انه يعلم الجهر ومايخفى | ala ma$a' allh anh y`lm aljhr wmayKfi | Except what God willed/wanted/intended, that He truly knows the declared/publicized and what hides. | Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. | |||
| 8. * | ونيسرك لليسرى | wnysrk llysri | And We ease you to the ease/prosperity. | And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). | |||
| 9. * | فذكر ان نفعت الذكرى | fXkr an nf`t alXkri | So remind if the remembrance/reminder benefited. | Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). | |||
| 10. * | سيذكر من يخشى | syXkr mn yK$i | Who fears will remember/praise/glorify. | The admonition will be received by those who fear ((Allah)): | |||
| 11. * | ويتجنبها الاشقى | wytjnbha ala$qi | And the most miserable/unhappy avoids/distances himself from it. | But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, | |||
| 12. * | الذي يصلى النار الكبرى | alXy ySli alnar alkbri | Who roasts/suffers the fire, the greatest. | Who will enter the Great Fire, | |||
| 13. * | ثم لايموت فيها ولايحيى | xm laymwt fyha wlayHyi | Then he does not die in it and nor live. | In which they will then neither die nor live. | |||
| 14. * | قد افلح من تزكى | qd aflH mn tzki | Who purified/corrected had succeeded/won. | But those will prosper who purify themselves, | |||
| 15. * | وذكر اسم ربه فصلى | wXkr asm rbh fSli | And mentioned/remembered his Lord's name, so he prayed. | And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. | |||
| 16. * | بل تؤثرون الحياة الدنيا | bl tWxrwn alHya+ aldnya | But you prefer/choose the life the present/worldly life. | Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; | |||
| 17. * | والاخرة خير وابقى | walaKr+ Kyr wabqi | And the end (other life is) better and more lasting (everlasting). | But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. | |||
| 18. * | ان هذا لفي الصحف الاولى | an hXa lfy alSHf alawli | That truly that (is) in (E) the written pages (Books/Scriptures) the first/beginning. | And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- | |||
| 19. * | صحف ابراهيم وموسى | SHf abrahym wmwsi | Abraham's and Moses' written pages (Books/Scriptures). | The Books of Abraham and Moses. | |||
